Privacy Policy

TrueLine Daily

Last updated: September 24, 2026

1. Introduction

TrueLine Analytics Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you play TrueLine Daily ("the Service"), our daily sports prediction game, on our website at truelinedaily.com and in the TrueLine Daily apps for iOS and Android.

By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in this policy. If you do not agree with the practices described herein, please do not use the Service.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Account & Authentication Information: You can play as a guest without an account. If you create one, we collect your email address and password, or a third-party sign-in: Sign in with Apple (in the iOS app) or Google Sign-In (in the Android app). On the website you sign in with email and password. These are used to create and manage your authenticated session. From Apple we receive the account identifier and the email address (or the Apple private relay address) you authorize; from Google we receive the identity token you approve, containing your account identifier and email address. We never receive your Apple or Google password.
  • Handle: An optional public display name (3–15 characters) you choose if you want to appear on leaderboards
  • Payment Information: Billing details when you subscribe to Daily Plus on our website (processed entirely by Stripe; we do not store credit card numbers), or subscription status from Apple for purchases on iOS
  • Communications: Any information you provide when contacting our support

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Gameplay Data: Your puzzle plays, guesses, daily scores, boosts used (such as the daily 2× token), streak history, streak repairs, and share tokens for results you choose to share — associated with your account or, if you play as a guest, an anonymous per-device identifier — used to run the game and compute scores, streaks, and leaderboards
  • Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, and which Daily Plus offers you view and whether you start or complete a purchase. On the website we measure page views with privacy-focused analytics from Vercel and Cloudflare, which do not use cookies.
  • Device Information: Browser type, operating system, device type, screen resolution, and (in the apps) device model and OS version
  • Log Data: IP address, access times, referring URLs, and error logs. We also use network information to protect leaderboards from abuse, such as one person playing the same slate from several accounts.
  • Mobile App Data: Crash logs and app performance diagnostics
  • Push Notification Data: If you enable reminders, a device or browser registration token — an Apple Push Notification service (APNs) token on iOS, a Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token on Android, or a web push subscription in your browser — used solely to send TrueLine Daily alerts (such as when a new daily slate is available). We do not use these tokens for advertising. You can turn reminders off at any time, and the token is deleted when you delete your account.
  • Local Storage: Preferences such as your selected league, stored in your browser's local storage or your device's app storage. The home-screen widgets on iOS and Android read a small snapshot of your current puzzle status that the app writes to shared storage on your own device; that snapshot stays on the device and is not transmitted to us.

2.3 Information from Third Parties

  • Authentication Provider (Supabase): Account session data and authentication tokens
  • Payment Processor (Stripe): Subscription status and billing history (not credit card details)
  • Apple (Sign in with Apple & StoreKit): When you sign in with Apple or purchase a Daily Plus subscription on iOS, Apple provides your authorized account identifier and email and, for purchases, subscription status and transaction identifiers (we never receive your full payment card details)
  • Google (Sign-In, Play, and Firebase): When you sign in with Google in the Android app, Google provides the account identifier and email address in the identity token you authorize (we never receive your Google password). Google also distributes the Android app through Google Play and delivers our Android push notifications through Firebase Cloud Messaging.
  • Sports and Market Data (The Odds API, ESPN, TheSportsDB, and league data feeds): We fetch schedules, scores, results, and closing market numbers from third-party providers to build and score each slate; this does not include your personal information

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Run the game — score your plays against closing lines and final results, and compute streaks, boosts, and leaderboard standings
  • Process your account registration and manage your Daily Plus subscription
  • Send reminders to your device or browser where you have enabled them
  • Process payments and manage billing through Stripe or Apple
  • Send transactional and account-related emails through our email provider
  • Communicate with you about your account, service updates, and support requests
  • Monitor and analyze usage trends to improve the Service
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, cheating, abuse, and technical issues
  • Comply with legal obligations

4. Data Storage and Security

Your account and gameplay data are stored securely using Supabase, which provides encrypted database storage with row-level security (RLS) policies, so other users cannot access your records.

Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe or Apple, and we never receive, process, or store your full credit card number.

No AI training on your data: We do not use your personal data or gameplay records to train AI models.

While we implement commercially reasonable security measures, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

5. Public Information and Social Features

Some TrueLine Daily information is public by design. You control whether you take part in each of the features below, and neither is required to play.

  • Leaderboards: If you choose a handle, that handle is displayed publicly on leaderboards alongside your ranking, scores, and streak. Your email address and any other account details are never shown. You can change your handle at any time, and you can contact us to have it removed.
  • Challenge Links: When you share a result, we create a link containing a random share token. Anyone who has the link can open the same slate, and its page and preview image show your score, your per-question results, the matchup, and your handle if you have chosen one. They never show the answers, your email, or your account identifier. The token is stored with the play so the link keeps working; contact us if you want a shared link disabled.
  • Private Leaderboards: If you create or join a private leaderboard, its members can see each other's handles and scores for that leaderboard.

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information or gameplay data. We may share information in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We share data with third-party services that help us operate the Service, including Supabase (database/authentication), Stripe (payment processing), Apple (Sign in with Apple, App Store subscription processing via StoreKit, and push notification delivery via APNs), Google (Google Sign-In, Google Play app distribution, and push notification delivery via Firebase Cloud Messaging), Vercel (hosting and cookieless web analytics), Cloudflare (DNS, edge networking, and cookieless web analytics), and Resend (transactional email delivery). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and process it only for the purposes we specify.
  • Aggregated Data: We may use and share aggregated, anonymized data that cannot reasonably identify you for internal analytics, research, and product improvement.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, safety, or property, or the rights, safety, or property of others.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information and gameplay data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, accounting, or compliance purposes. Aggregated, anonymized data may be retained indefinitely.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Data Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time
  • Withdraw Consent: Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at [email protected]. We will respond to your request within 30 days.

8.1 Additional Rights for EU, UK, and California Residents

Users located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom may have additional rights under the GDPR or UK GDPR, including the right to object to processing, the right to restrict processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Users located in California may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising), and the right to non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights. To exercise any of these rights, contact [email protected].

9. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time. To do so, use the account-deletion option in the game, or email us at [email protected] (or [email protected]) from the address associated with your account. We will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days of a verified request, except where we are required to retain certain records for legal, accounting, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.

Deleting your account removes your profile, your handle (and with it your leaderboard entries), gameplay history (puzzle plays, guesses, boosts, and streaks), and stored push-notification tokens for every device. Subscriptions purchased through an app store are managed by that store: deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active Apple subscription, which you must cancel separately in your Apple ID Account Settings to stop future renewals. The same applies to any subscription purchased through Google Play, which is cancelled in your Google Play subscription settings.

10. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Service uses essential cookies and local storage for authentication, session management, and storing your preferences. Our web analytics are cookieless. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels, and we do not serve advertisements on the Service.

You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences, but disabling essential cookies may affect the functionality of the Service.

11. Age Restrictions

The Service is intended only for users who are at least 18 years of age (or the legal age of majority in their jurisdiction). The Service is not intended for, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, individuals under that age. If we become aware that we have collected data from a person under that age, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe an underage user has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected].

12. Canadian Privacy Law Compliance

TrueLine Analytics Inc. operates from Saskatchewan, Canada. We comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation. You have the right to access and correct your personal information, to withdraw consent for data processing, and to file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

13. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed and stored in jurisdictions outside of Canada, including the United States, where our service providers operate. When data is transferred internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place through contractual obligations with our service providers. If you use a mobile application distributed by Google Play or the Apple App Store, those platforms may also process limited data (such as installation and crash reports) under their own privacy policies.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the Service, or applicable law. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
