What you predict in the CFL game
Three downs, a 110-yard field and twelve players a side make the CFL its own game, and its numbers show it: more scoring than the NFL, and totals that barely move from week to week.
Projected total
50–70 pointsThe combined points the matchup was projected to produce. CFL totals are the tightest of any league on TrueLine Daily — most close within a few points of 60 — so the slider runs 50–70 in half-point steps and landing within 1.5 points counts as nailed. With a range this narrow, every half point matters.
Home win chance
0–100%How likely the home team was to win. With only nine teams, everyone knows everyone — and the long trips across a country this size make home field count for something real.
Point spread
0–100%How likely the favorite was to win by more than the point spread. The spread is set to split the game, so the answer sits near 50%; the skill is reading which way it leans. Singles — the one-point rouge — mean CFL margins land on odd numbers the NFL rarely sees.
How a day plays out
Open the matchup
One real CFL game from earlier in the season, the same one for every player, with both teams' records as they stood that week. The result stays hidden — the point is your read, not your homework.
Make three predictions
Three guesses per number. After each one you're told whether the answer is higher or lower, so a miss still tells you something and you can close in.
Get scored against the close
When you finish, each number is scored 0–100 on how close you landed to where the market closed before the game. Your day's score is the average of the three.
Why you're scored against the closing number
The CFL's three-down game produces more punts, more field-position swings and more late comebacks than the NFL. The final score is real, but it is a noisy measure of which read was right.
The number the market settled on right before kickoff is the best public estimate of the matchup: quarterback health, weather and travel are all in it. Scoring against it rewards a good read even when the game came down to a missed field goal or a rouge.
Because the league is small and its totals so tight, it rewards people who follow it closely. A CFL regular can beat a casual fan here by more than in any other league.

CFL prediction game FAQ
What is the CFL prediction game?
It is a free Canadian football game with one slate a week, on Saturdays. You get one real CFL matchup from earlier in the season, with the result hidden, and predict three numbers about it — the projected total points, the home team's chance to win, and the chance the favorite covers the point spread. Every player gets the same matchup, with three guesses per number and a higher-or-lower hint after each.
Why is the CFL game only on Saturdays?
The CFL has nine teams and far fewer games than the other leagues, so a new CFL slate every day would run out within weeks. One matchup every Saturday keeps it going all year. The other leagues still have a slate every day.
Is this sports betting?
No. There is no wagering, no deposit, and nothing to win but bragging rights. You are predicting numbers about a game that has already been played, to test how well you read it. You cannot win or lose money.
How many points should I guess for a CFL total?
The slider runs 50 to 70 points in half-point steps, but most CFL totals close within a few points of 60. Weather and quarterback changes are the main things that move it.
How is my CFL score calculated?
Each of the three numbers is scored 0 to 100 on how close it lands to the closing number, and your day's score is the average of the three. Nailing a number on your first guess scores more than getting there on your third.
Do I need an account to play?
No. You can play as a guest straight away. Creating an account saves your history and streak across devices, and your guest progress carries over when you sign in.
Can I play last Saturday's CFL game?
Yes, if it's recent: today and the 2 days before it stay open to everyone. Daily Plus opens the full archive of past slates, lets you play every league on the same day instead of one, and includes a streak repair each week.
